Formulate economic policies for the attainment of the development aspirations and expansion of the economic base of the state

Responsible for the development and installation of an effective accounting system for the commission
Take charge of all accounting duties
Manage all funds and public money due and receivable in the Ministry with due diligence
Take charge of all disbursement of funds
Advise the chief executive (Hon. Commissioner), the accounting officer (Permanent Secretary) and other heads of Directorates on accounting matters
Monitor (carryout inspection) of on-going projects in the SDP with a view to identifying bottlenecks in plan implementation and advising the state on how the bottleneck could be minimized
Prepare pre-feasibility reports on projects and also analyse and appraise for the purpose of determining their socio-economic viability
Develop a framework to support the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of government performance at both State and LGA levels. This should be inline with the SDP
Collaborate with MDAs to develop results-focused key performance indicators (KPI) with clearly defined performance targets on which progress is measured.
